Greetings!
It is with great pleasure that I welcome everyone to Colleton Academy for Success, home of Colleton
County School District’s Alternative Programs. A born and reared citizen of Colleton County with a
vested interest in the community, it is an honor for me to give back by serving the families of children
who are educated here.
The alternative programs at Colleton Academy for Success (CAS) is a positive alternative to expulsion for
students in grades 6-12. It is designed to provide a safe and structured environment that encourages
and maximizes the academic and behavioral potential of at risk students. Although the challenges of
behavior, academics, and attendance occasionally throw a student off track, resulting in consequences
that may remove a student from a school, it is the belief of CAS that with providing students the
necessary social, emotional, and academic supports, the stumbling blocks of attendance, attitude and
academics can be crafted into the building blocks of success upon the return to designated home
schools. Hence, I look forward to working with each of you on the journey to success.
